Oak Firewood

The oak tree is a closely-knit hardwood. This means that the wood burns for a very long time in a fireplace or woodstove once it has been split and seasoned. In addition, it generates a lot of heat and requires less fuel in the fireplace because it burns for a longer period of time. Compared to pine, oak has a three to five times longer burn time.
