Product description

The reason for using peat pellets is that they are easy to use, eco-friendly, and can provide significantly more energy for the same cost, if desired.Raw peat, a degraded biomass of wood and herbaceous plants, is used to make peat pellets. Peat bogs are like large compost sinks; for millennia, millions of tons of biomass have accumulated there. In Finland, peat is a common energy source, providing about 20% of the country’s energy needs. Peat’s greater production costs as compared to coal, oil, or natural gas have kept it from being considered a viable fuel source for many years. However, peat’s future has shifted as a result of rising energy costs in recent years; it is now even less expensive as an energy source.
